JUSBCUZ Youth Educational Programs serve kids ages 12 years old and older.
Youth Educational Programs multifaceted approach is designed to equip our young learners with a comprehensive understanding of the culinary world, encompassing healthy food knowledge, cooking, beverage nutrition, service, management, and more.
Our purpose remains fourfold:
Education: We believe in providing a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to our students by ensuring that our classes and courses are tailored to their respective age groups. Through hands-on learning experiences, kid will discover different food groups, how to safely prepare and cook various dishes and how to use utensils safely. This foundational knowledge not only imparts essential culinary skills but also emphasizes the importance of safety, hygiene, food sanitation and table etiquette.
Exploration: We nurture curiosity and creativity by inviting knowledgeable speakers, experts and enthusiasts to classes while also facilitating visits to various dining establishments. These immersive experiences allow students from different youth groups to gain real-world insights into the industry's workings. Meeting owners, chefs, cooks, servers and managers will expose students to the diverse talents and roles within the field.
Entrepreneurship: We empower our youth with the knowledge and skills to start and operate a food and beverage business. From understanding business plans to managing finances and marketing, we prepare them to take the reins of their culinary dreams.
Competition: Our program encourages friendly competition that pushes students to apply their newly acquired knowledge. This challenges them to think creatively and work collaboratively. These contests, tailored to their age groups, foster camaraderie and help them grow into individuals that can not only make healthier food choices, but also passionate professionals in culinary and hospitality fields.
Throughout our Child and Youth Programs, we emphasize the creation of healthy, edible arrangements by teaching our students how to craft a variety of delicious meals and refreshing drinks using different fruits, foods, flavors and techniques. This further broadens their culinary horizons and encourages experimentation in a safe and supportive environment.
Our ultimate purpose is to instill a strong sense of knowledge of foods and nutrition with a responsibility to incorporate healthy food choices into everyday life; while also aspiring to shape passionate, competent, and innovative individuals equipped to preserve the art of culinary excellence.
